Empowering Ministries was founded by Rev. Monique Lemmon in 2019 as a Non-denominational faith base community. It began in the auditorium of Gilmore Elementary School in Baltimore City until that community was deemed 'under construction' as a part of the city's revitilization project.
The church now occupies a leased space located in the upcoming Park Heights community at 4422 Park Heights Ave. Rev. Lemmon is such an active community leader that in the short time of being a part of the Park Heights Community, Empowering Ministries built a partnership with Druid Hill YMCA and spearheaded outreach projects; Christmas outreach and COVID-19 community 'Curbside Grab & Go'. The church donated food, clothes, and other essential items to memebers of the community. These efforts paved the way for Empowering Ministries to establish a food pantry that allows them to give to those in need more regularly. The church stands on the belief that God blesses the church so the church can empower and bless others.
Empowering Ministries focuses to empower people and the community and since it's conception, they've been doing just that. Empowering Ministries is fertile ground where families, young adults, children and seniors all receive an empowering word to get thru the week. In addition to an enlightening worship experience, Empowering Ministries offer children's church, weekly bible study, marriage sessions for engaged and married couples, and a new women's ministry that's scheduled to kick-off Fall 2020.
Empowering Ministries have a heart for the people and seeks to create an enviornment where all feel welcome.
The church has come a long way in a short period with the guiding help of God leading the woman of God in our pastor, Rev. Monique Lemmon. Eyes haven't seen nor have ears heard the great things God has in store for the fellowship of Empowering Ministries.
