OUR HISTORY

Empowering Ministries, later known as Empowering Ministries Outreach Center (EMOC) was founded by Rev. Monique Lemmon in 2019 as a Non-denominational faith base community. It began in the auditorium of Gilmore Elementary School in Baltimore City until the community was deemed 'under construction' as a part of the city's revitalization project.

The church now occupies a leased space located in the upcoming Park Heights community at 4422 Park Heights Ave. Rev. Lemmon is such an active community leader that in the short time of being a part of the Park Heights Community, EMOC built a partnership with Druid Hill YMCA and spearheaded outreach projects; including 'Curbside Grab & Go' with the Maryland Food Bank. The church has donated food, clothes, and other essential items to members of the community. These efforts paved the way for EMOC to establish a food pantry that allows them to give to those in need more regularly. The church stands on the belief that God blesses the church so the church can bless those in need.

EMOC focuses to empower people and the community and since it's conception, they've been doing just that. EMOC is fertile ground where families, young adults, children and seniors all receive an empowering word to get through the week. In addition to an enlightening worship experience, EMOC offers children's church, youth Sunday school,

weekly bible study, and marriage enrichment for long-term dating, engaged and married couples.

EMOC have a heart for the people and seeks to create an environment where all feel welcome.

Eyes haven't seen nor have ears heard the great things God has in store for the fellowship of Empowering Ministries Outreach Center.
